Kismath film is based on a true story set in the background of social and cultural life of Ponnani. It narrates the issues faced by an inter-caste couple, who falls in love.It's about the love story between a 23-year-old Muslim boy and a 28-year-old Dalit girl. They went for help to a Police Station. What happens after that is the basic storyline.Irfan who faced the backlash from society for their relationship in 2011. The screenplay was conceived by Bavakutty while serving as the town’s Municipal Councillor.

Shane Nigam, son of actor and mimicry artist Aby is making his acting debut with ‘Kismat’.Shane Nigam plays a role of a Muslim boy.Sruthi Menon plays a bold girl who falls in love with a Muslim boy.The film set against the backdrops of Ponnani bazaar, the film is a beautiful love story.
