Thodari is a romantic movie that is predominantly set in a train. Dhanush plays the role of a pantry worker in the film. Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead, while Ganesh Venkatraman, Hairsh Uthaman, Radha Ravi, Prem, Bose Venkat, Thambi Ramaiah, RV Udyaakumar, Karunakaran, Anu Mohan, Imman Annachi, Chinni Jayanth and others playing the supporting cast.Cinematography is taken care by Vetrivel Mahendran and edited by L.V.K. Doss. The film Produced by T. G.Thiyagarajan, SendhilThiyagarajan, Arjun Thiyagarajan and Prabhu Solomon produced under the Sathya Jyothi Films and distributed by God Pictures banners.

He was last seen in the 2015 film Thanga Magan with Amy Jackson and Samantha. Dhanush also thanked his fans for waiting these many days and said that the movie will be released soon.
Thodari, which was supposed to hit the screens on August 12 as been postponed and there is no official announcement regarding the release date of Thodari by production team.Dhanush is busy simultaneously shooting for his much-anticipated Vada Chennai and Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta.
